COMMITTEE SUMMARIES
The Chamber of Commerce is working hard to serve the business owners and residents of Pearl River. We are making great strides, and with your help we will continue to grow. We have several committees that welcome new volunteers.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
Continues to work on recruitment of new businesses and residents. Joining the committee is a wonderful way to network with members of your business community. The committee meets monthly from February to June, less frequently for the rest of the year.
GOVERNMENT LIAISON COMMITTEE
Attends all town board meetings on a rotating schedule to keep abreast of the issues concerning Pearl River. The committee is also responsible for the monthly newsletter. The time commitment is minimal.
COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE
Responsible for the 2005 launch of the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce web-site. The committee will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the new site. In addition, the committee has an ongoing relationship with the local press. The majority of the work with the committee is done through electronic mail.
STREETSCAPE COMMITTEE
The committee has worked on the design and fund-raising efforts for our new and improved holiday lights. In addition the committee is working closely with the Town of Orangetown on aesthetic improvements and overall maintenance.
